DGH
Hello, I have a box full of trains, carriages, stations and track. It's from the 80's and used/ looked after when I was a bit younger. I didn't want to bin it so thought to shout out to Hornby community. Ironically I live where frank Hornby did in Merseyside, so wondered if any collectors or clubs nearby wanted it? LCDR
A few months back an old peoples home on Ripon Yorks was asking for donations of model railways for a layout for the old folk. I can ask if they still want some if you like?
VESPA
As you are in Liverpool and are willing to donate the items, why not take them to Hattons in Widnes and sell them pointing out that you want to donate proceeds to a charity. They will give you cash and you can then choose your charity to donate to. http://www.hattons.co.uk/ Secondhand items do not usually fetch a lot this way but more than just throwing them out. The son of Triangman
You could ebay them, such models fetch good money in good condition on ebay, but you will need to find out values, or as Vespa has suggested go to a known retailer. A good retailers and dealer will generally tend to pay you around half the retail value as it allows them some room for repairs, servicing etc that may be needed.
