Hi ,,,,It would be dead easy to do ,but ,firstly take a look at the maintenance/ instruction sheet that came with the set ,pay particular attention to the tender drawing ,it might say that it is sound ready or at least shows that it is ready to accept a speaker ,if it is / does then it is a case of fitting the speaker and plugging in the decoder ,but if not and the decoder socket is in the loco ,which I suspect it is then you just plug in the decoder and find somewhere in the loco body to fit the speaker or if you are able you could extend the speaker wires so that you can fit the speaker in the tender and the decoder in the loco ,this would mean you would have to leave the loco and tender coupled together all the time ,,,,,also ,,,,,HORNBY do have a TTS Tornado ,in blue, which you could take the decoder from,,,,instead of the flying Scotsman ,,,,,hope this makes sense and helps ,,,,,,mjb

Hi again ,,,,,you could if you wish buy the TTS Tornado in blue ,swap the loco and tender bodies which would be perfect ,then sell the blue one as DCC ready ,or keep it and fit a non sound decoder into it ,that way you would have your. Green Tornado with TTS and its Pullman coaches. and a dcc fitted blue Tornado which would look great hauling some blood and custard coaches ,I have the blue one and it looks superb hauling them coaches ,,,,,,,mjb
