Chrissaf
Is it a sound fitted decoder loco? What decoder brand and model?.Reason for asking these two questions: Sound locos by their very nature can introduce a delay before moving off and different decoder manufacturers can implement different CVs to do different things. baz47
Hi Chris I have sounded loco's and know about that delay which I realise is for the brake release, rather good I think, this is a hornby8249 chip in an old bachmann Lord Nelson, Sir Martin Frobisher loco and I just wondered if someone could guide me through improving start up via CV numbers. 96RAF
Check CV3 (acceleration) value, the bigger the value set the slower it will be to follow the throttle, the lower the value the more instant it will be to respond - 5 is a good setting for normal reaction, but it must be at least 15 for a TTS decoder to work correctly.
