While away we saw this former GWR ticket office in use as a restaurant. Where is it?

96RAF
It is beside open water given the sailing boats to the left and in hill country given the aspect on the right of PP's picture. Crystal ball time - viewing the full picture this is definitely it. I have cropped the picture a little and amended the file details to avoid spoiling the hunt. Postman Prat
You lot are too well travelled. 😮 I expected it to 'go' fairly quickly but I thought it might last longer than an hour. When it's run it's course I'll ask another question.

walkingthedog
They have serious permanent flooding between the station and the track, so you had to get there by boat.

Ruffnut Thorston
Dartmouth Station was built by the GWR. It is on the other side of the River Dart from Kingswear Station (Now a steam railway to Paignton. Paignton & Dartmouth Railway. Once the Torbay Steam Railway I think...)) You could by tickets to anywhere via the GWR from here....but you had to board a Ferry Boat to reach the Trains... It only "saw" trains on th eother side of the river....mainly the smoke and steam I would think! 😉

81F
Interestingly it shows up as a disused station here http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/d/dartmouth/ which begs the question when is a didused station disused - I believe Railway operated ferries still call but the building is a resturant something that I have seen elsewhere with conventional railway stations where trains still stop!
