Potrail2378
Hi guys, just a quick question. Is it possible to secure a Hornby select to the top of a baseboard via screws/nuts & bolts? Or should I just use something like blue tack? All I want to do is stop it from sliding about. Thanks in advance ☺️

96RAF
I'm sure we had this exact same question many moons ago ref securing the Elite to a board. And it got the same answers.
Potrail2378
Thank you for answers. I actually forgot to mention that the spare piece of baseboard (on which all my sockets, switches, etc) is going to be at around a 45 degree angle, sloping towards me. walkingthedog
Definitely as stated then. A frame like a picture frame plus tape or velcro. 😆

Chrissaf
He means add a triangular fillet on the ends of the flat panel so that the controllers can't slide sideways off the shelf../media/tinymce_upload/671071a09736e34f7c07c4d7701f322f.jpg. Fishmanoz
I have no problem with my Select sliding around, it stays exactly where I put it in the bottom draw even when I tip the chest up 60 degrees!

trainlover23
A couple of 6" nails through it normally does the trick
Fishmanoz
Don't forget to drill oversize holes in the buttons you put the nails through tl, else they'll stick. Therell always be a space in my bottom drawer to refer to Rob, even if its previous occupant is abroad.
