Pace car

Hi,

I have been using the ARC Air setup and I have found this to be really good. Particularly the Pace car. I have just a couple of questions and suggestions regarding this.

Is it possible with the pace car to do an emergency stop, when I have crashed my car it would be good to be able to bring the pace car to a halt imediately to prevent it crashing into the the other car. Usually I can't get over to retrieve the crashed car before the pace car reaches it.

I have found that while I can set the pace car speed quite easily, that after several laps it starts to slide and lift the guide blade out of the slot. It would be good to be able to go back into the pace car speed settings and be able to  make a fine adjustment of the speed. As it is at the moment you have to start again from zero speed. With this you either have work by guesswork or have counted how many divisions on the scale you have set previously. I wonder if it would be possible for the speed setting page to have a numerical counter so that if for instance you had the slider set 11 divisions along a numerical display would say 11. This would make it easy to take note of the setting you have used. I have thought about the setting page retaining the previous setting but there probably is a good reason why this is not case. If it did retain the previous speed then if it had a start button then you would have the chance to adjust it before starting the car off.

As I say I am very happy with the Arc Air setup but I wonder if these suggestions could be considered

Thanks for the feedback.. I agree with most of your comments.

Regarding the cars behavior changing after a few laps: This usually caused by dirt on the track, the tires getting warmer, lint and dirt in the pickups etc ...

So the key is to get a nice clean track before racing. :-)
