that_guy_who_likes_trains
Pretty much what's the best way of getting dust off locos and rolling stock without scratching the paintwork or knocking off any details like vacuum brake pipes, etc./media/tinymce_upload/181b18a02b7b89a5231d0568fd422ccb.jpg
96RAF
I use a puffer brush as sold in good photography shops. Very soft bristles as you would expect for cameras.

rayarpino
Hi there,I am currently placing cheap roller blinds above my layout to prevent dust from getting everywhere on the rolling stock, buldings and landscape. This can be done in such a way that they are not overly conspicuous when they are rolled up. Otherwise, in the most extreme cases, gunge, etc, an ultrasonic cleaner can do wonders without damaging anything. It also serves many other tasks in the household. Google around and you will see they are not necessarily too expensive and all you have to do is to plunge your loco or rolling stock in the device for a few minutes while you do someting else. You can even clean watches with these (once you've opened them, of course). Otherwise I agree that make-up or puffer brushes are definitely the best.
