Adhesive

I have a 00mals layout purchased from ebay ,which is quite good as I am useless at anyrhing pratical.

The buidings etc and the people and animals are all fixed strongly. I tried to fix some 00 animals but they just fall over There must be a adhesive that is user friendly ?Have HUmbrol liquid poly

but no luck What would be fast and strong to use ??Any advice welome.

It really depends on what materials​ you want to stick together and how permanent you want them to be.

Araldite and other epoxy adhesives are good for most things and will be pretty strong and permanent.

PVA is good for wood, card and paper but is slow drying.

Evo stick is a good strong impact adhesive, good for many things and parts can usually be separated, even if it's with some difficulty.  Copydex is similar but not quite as strong in my experience.

There is a product called Tacky Wax which is good for semi permanent fixing of things like loco crews and passengers in coaches and on station platforms.

There are so many good adhesives around these days.

Thanks for a comprensive selection.I would like permanent fixtures so have a good choice now .

For semi-permanent fixing, try card-crafters acid-free silicon. Or the aeromodellers UHU POR,Both of these are very slightly flexible when cured, and the item can be peeled off, if required, later.

Or - for more or less permanent, use one of the contact adhesives, but beware, they can dissolve polystyrene!
