Rog RJ
It really depends on what materials you want to stick together and how permanent you want them to be.Araldite and other epoxy adhesives are good for most things and will be pretty strong and permanent.PVA is good for wood, card and paper but is slow drying.Evo stick is a good strong impact adhesive, good for many things and parts can usually be separated, even if it's with some difficulty. Copydex is similar but not quite as strong in my experience. There is a product called Tacky Wax which is good for semi permanent fixing of things like loco crews and passengers in coaches and on station platforms. There are so many good adhesives around these days. 2e0dtoeric
For semi-permanent fixing, try card-crafters acid-free silicon. Or the aeromodellers UHU POR,Both of these are very slightly flexible when cured, and the item can be peeled off, if required, later.Or - for more or less permanent, use one of the contact adhesives, but beware, they can dissolve polystyrene!
