Chrissaf
I think that Doc meant DCC, so this would be better asked on the DCC threads! Not everyone reads every section.I use DCC control, but I regulate the speed with the knob, not relying on the fade up/fade down, 'autopilot', so I can't advise you on that. It is in the manual, if you can find it!
Chrissaf
What numbers do you use, say on a Caledonian sleeper class 67 and a BE early Fowler 440, on a 6 by 4 layout.
Rog RJ
It's entirely up to you. I prefer a slow acceleration, so a high(ish) setting in CV3 of maybe 40 or50 but for deceleration i much prefer a low value of about 5 in CV4 which helps to avoid accidents by running into things. PS my layout is basically 8 by 4.
Nick_
As Rog said, it's really up to you and what you're happy with. Start with 20 for acceleration and 10 for deceleration. Then go up and down from there to see what you like best
