Chrissaf
You are using the wrong button sequence..The Function button only allows a block of 10 functions to be selected at a time..Pressing the Function button the first time gives you access to F0 to F9Pressing the Function button the second time gives you access to F10 to F19Pressing the Function button the third time gives you access to F20 to F28Pressing the Function button the fourth & fifth time takes you back to the beginning..Additionally, you do not key in TWO numbers, only ONE number is required for any of the Functions, even ones above F9..So using your F23 as an example..Press the Function button THREE times in a row so that the Elite display shows F20 to F28, then press the number 3 key for F23. The number 4 key for F24 and the number 5 key for F25 etc..Note that with the Elite, the Function buttons 'LOCK ON', so you will have to press the number 3 key again to reset the F23 function before it can be played again. Alternatively, if you press and hold the 3 key whilst the sound plays. The function will reset when the key is released, negating the need to press it again. This is the same for all Functions..Additionally, depending upon which function range screen you are on. The enabled Functions (Functions that have been 'locked on') relative to that particular Function range screen are displayed across the bottom row of the Elite LCD display..A further example, say you want Function F10.You would press the Function button TWICE in a row so that the display reads F10 to F19, then press the 0 key for F10.If you were on the F10 to F19 screen as above and then wanted to send F5, you would have to press the Function button repeatedly (4 times) until F0 to F9 is displayed on the screen, then press the number 5 key. You can't scroll backwards through the Function range screens, only forwards..This is all explained on pages 20 to 22 of the Elite User manual
