R9290 James the Red Engine

Recommended Posts

Uploaded photographs of James R9687 from the Royal Mail Stamp Collection and the new R9290. The newer one has a slighly lighter shade of red. On reflection i prefer the older one.

Thank you for posting the pictures of two James'. I honestly thought that the new R9290 James is the same as the old one, apart from the face, but I am wrong. The new James clearly has a lighter shade if red. The 'number 5' on his tender us a touch bigger than the old one too! I haven't a clue if that is good or not.

You have the 2011 R9687 British Stamp Collection James as me too! I'll be more even with you, when I get my R9290 James!  😆

Left to Right: R852 James the Red Engine (2004), R9687 James the Red Engine Royal Mail Thomas Friends Stamp Collection (2011) and R9290 James the Red Engine (2016).

Please note that it may look a bit off owning three James', but I am selling the R852 James. This is a non-runner. It will be on eBay soon. The other two, I am keeping.
