Malta middle man
Also whats the best way to go for some lighting (on all our trains) was thinking battery powered/controlled? Instead of adding more features onto the elite.
2e0dtoeric
Do you mean street lights, building lights, or coach lights?Look at using LED rather than the old short-lived incandescent 'pea-bulbs' or 'grain-of-wheat bulbs', LED last for a long time, if treated correctly, and use a lot less power. You can use an old analogue controller to power them - but you MUST put the correct value of resistor in line. There is a lot of info about this on here, if you look, so there is no point in repeating it all again! 96RAF
As you mention the Elite I take it your locos are DCC controlled, in which case it's a case of hanging leds and associated resistors on to the decoder wires provided. You can find the hook up information on the decoder paperwork, but there is a standard colour scheme for all decoders based on how many pins they have. Look at the DCC section on this site in the conversion area.
