beaky3000
Hi, i understand that to get my 1960s triang / hornby midland blue pullman to run on modern code 100 track i need to change the wheel sets on the power bogie, as at the moment the flanges are bouncing over the plastic trough in the bottom of the check rail, i just want to make sure this can be done and what new wheels to buy ie product code etc any advice would be very much appreciated thanks. John Bogie
Hi Beaky, I just did the same thing to a couple of old dock shunter locos. The old wheels pull right off. Just a friction fit. One or two needed a bit of persuasion, but two pairs of soft jawed pliers did the trick. Then just a matter of pushing the new wheels on. Making sure you bend the pickup slightly so it touches the outer edge of each insulated wheel. Do a search on ebay for Triang Fine Scale Wheels. You will find him. They even come with a fitting instruction guide. Very simple to do. Good Luck. JB
