AU and NZ doubled buy rate to get Free Postage

Postage rates for shipping overseas are now massive as anyone in the UK will tell you.  Hornby have to make it viable to ship the items without loosing money.  An international tracked 1KG small parcel insured up to £250 contents will cost £20.67 sterling to send now. Price from post office website. It's a substantial cost that has to be covered so I guess Hornby have upped the minimum buy rate to make it viable to send the items.

Hi HarveyLNER

The exchange rate is currently very favorable for us so calculate cost with VAT.

Then purchase from a reputable and reliable UK hobby shop the VAT savings will pay for postage on a reasonable sized order.

Remember not to cross the GST threshold amount or you will cop a tax bill from customs before your parcel is delivered to you.

You are going to find it harder and harder to get what you want in AU and NZ as the distributors stop carrying things and complete brand lines have fun getting the blue box mob product without ordering overseas the AU distributor doesn't carry it anymore,

and I recently got told if I wanted the old merit range products now sold by Peco I would have to order them from Peco direct.

Like it's viable to order the slab bike rack with bikes as a one of not funny as this is the kind of thing that is one of and only needed as the scene develops but soon all of that will be unavailable because our distributors are idiots.

regards John
