Lightning Servicing Flight

This is is my effort to recreate a Lightning Servicing Flight using the Airfix 1/72 Lightning and a CMK resin engine insert. Various other bits and pieces are from other kit makers but the hangar, lifting jacks, folded A frame steps, spare engine & trolley and second engine on the underside are all scratchbuilt.

It's not built to be an exact replica but draws on inspiration from photos and my own experience of working in an ASF (Nimrods in my case).

The first photo is the inspiration.

Hi Richard.

Wecome to the Forum, and what a great way to start off. A superb and inspirational build, must have taken you months. Looking forward to more of your builds, especially as you've now set the bar that high. Keep them coming.

I see this is your first post, how's-about an intro on the new members posting in the general forum, then more can welcome you aboard.

Keep up the good work.

Remember we do this for fun                     John the Pom
