Ard Lochan
I have two recent additions namley a class A4 Sir Murrough Wilson and a class P2 Cock `o` the North, Both are fitted with 8 pin dcc, both Hornby. Both run fine on default setting of 3. when I program them to a different number, eg 20 and 21, the A4 runs very slowly and the p2 just sits there trying to go. If I write cv 8 to both which reset them to default 3 they are fine and run as they should. I an using a Gaugemaster Prodigy 2 controller. I have 18 other Hornby DCC and they are no problem. Any Ideas, Please, Regards, Neil.
Fishmanoz
Welcome to the forums Ard. Try swapping the decoders into other locos and tell us whether the fault follows the decoder or stays with the loco.
morairamike
Are you programing on the MAIN track or on the Program Track. If on the MAIN are all the other locos removed when you are doing the address setting.
Ard Lochan
Thank you both for replying, I have just sorted it, oddly enough if I program the loco with just its address and omit the sv acc dec and tv steps the locos now respond to their allocated new address.
