pendeenpete
Hi,Thinking of buying one of the TTS Kings, having experienced the not so good running characteristics of the TTS decoder in Gadwall and the class 37,I am wondering what other people have found with the King.My TTS locos are ok(ish) with the second motor algorithem selected, and adjustment of the PID values I don't get jerky running. I am using the Roco Multimaus and z21 dcc system. As I assume all the TTS are the same,is the King a smooth runner? Thanks
WilliamDavid
I have two TTS Kings, and am perfectly happy with their performance.I did have issues with the TTS Flying Scotsman and Tornado, so I can understand your concerns.
2e0dtoeric
Mine is still unopened in the box! The only other TTS loco I have is the Duke of Gloucester, and I've waffled on about that previously, and it's not relevent here.
pendeenpete
Thanks guys, I guess it's a case of buy it and try it, I wonder if the decoder the TTS one is based on, has similar performance issues.
96RAF
I have mine in R2339 which is a loco driven model and that works well with CV150 motor algorithm set to 1.
pendeenpete
Received the above from Sheffield, well priced at just under £110 considering the cost of modern locos.Gave it a very short run, just to check before it went away until my birthday, and all seems to be fine. The slow running will improve with running in I'm sure, and the whistles sound very realistic compared to Gadwall. The chuff is, as reported, very slow compared to wheel rotation, but happily, nothing needed adjusting to the algorithms,as on other TTS locos. The detail is superb, and nothing fell off. In short,at this price,I would recommend this if you want a KIng.
