Forum-1211528 Posted June 19, 2017 Share Posted June 19, 2017 I own a Jouef BR BLUE class 40 its a very powerful locomotive but can this be fitted with a DCC chip it was made in the 1980s before Lima took them over then went bust!So please advise me the best way to go about converting a Jouef class 40 to DCC. 96RAF Posted June 20, 2017 Share Posted June 20, 2017 ColinHave a read of this thread on RM Web forum http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/27051-joueff-00-class-40/ People have many and different opinions on this model, but a couple said it was easy to install a decoder so I would suggest applying the standard procedure - do the checks to make sure the motor is not connected to the wheels and connect a decoder per normal practice.
