Hi friends I got pre-owned- like new, class 50 Loco from Hattons. I was trying to fit Hornby 4 function DCC decoder to this locomotive. It goes okay till i assign loco address but after within say one minute I get railmaster short circuit error. Thinking the DCC decoder has a problem i tried to fit this decoder to a different class 56 Loco and it went fine no issues (DCC decoder is okay). Seems like, class 50 locomotive have some issue. Please suggest me how to fix this error. Just to add I tried  to run class 50 analogue controller (without DCC fitting) it went pretty smooth.

Several instances have popped up on the forums recently of similar problems, where it runs OK on DC but not with a chip fitted. Just have a scan back in the DCC section or use the forum (not main site) search facility.

Our advice is likely to repeat that already given by way of general checks of the decoder socket and tracing the wiring socket to source using a meter.
