dids Posted December 31, 2011 Share Posted December 31, 2011 Hello all,I have recently purchased two Hornby R8247 PAD, and I am now trying to program them to work with Tortoise point motors. This is the first time I have tried to use PAD's. I am unsure on how to wire the tortoise motors to the decoder, but I am lead to believe it can be done. I have read instructions supplied with the decoder, and researched how to do it on the internet, but I have so far got nowhere! :( I am trying to program the decoders with the Hornby elite, using the programing track, and understand that cv's 515-518 change the output time, 1 being 0.1s and 200 being 20s, also 0 being constant power. I have tried to program these cv's, as the tortoise requires constant power, but it appears it has not worked, and when I try and read the cv's it displays CV0515 R 255. This is also the same with cv 513 which I'm lead to believe changes the address.I am aware of some programing issues regarding the R8216, but these decoders say R8247.Any help would be very much greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance, David Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
