Not many Landies about in this small scale and no new tool options so I elected for this option .......

Its the old boxing but JB Models are now part of the Airfix stable and have since been released in the Humbrol Type 15 packaging and more recently in the Hornby Type 16 Red boxes though the kit is not in the current range.

Despite its age its a decent kit which goes together without any vices though the moulds are a little heavy (such as the over sized window frames) and would benefit from a modern new tool.

The RAF figures are from the Airfix Bloodhound Set which being in hard moulded plastic are good to paint and are quite finely detailed. More of these would be good.

After market decals were used to represent an RAF Police Land Rover and the figures were painted to represent RAF Policeman complete with a dog.

This kit was build to be added to my Shackleton MR.2 diorama and will be updated shortly

Thanks, I was just trying to add a little bit more 'life' to my Shackleton MR.2 display and needed a Military?RAF vehicle from the 1960's and the land Rover was the obvious choice.

I actually enjoyed making the kit and I'm looking at other JB Models kits (now in the Airfix stable) to go with my planned Hercules diorama.
