Chrissaf
You are completely right to research as much as you can before making any financial commitments..Here are some further reading Internet resources for DCC in no particular order (all links open in a new tab or Window)..https://sites.google.com/site/markgurries/homehttp://www.brian-lambert.co.uk/http://www.digitrains.co.uk/dcc-guide/http://www.members.optusnet.com.au/nswmn/dcc_articles.htmhttp://www.wiringfordcc.com/wirefordcc_toc.htm.Note however that some of these websites are USA (1) & (5), what they do in the 'States' can be somewhat different to UK wiring and control practices (2) & (3), so treat the information accordingly. Web site (4) is Australian. Brian Lambert's website (2) is the most appropriate for DCC information in a UK wiring environment. Brian is a contributing member on this forum..If you want a really basic introduction to the differences between Analogue DC and Digital DCC, then download and review my own PDF from the link at the top of the "General Discussion" sub-forum entitled "Getting Started with Track Expansion Packs". There is a lot more in my document than just track pack information.
Fishmanoz
And before you set your head to spinning with all that info, look on this site under Help and Advice at Hornby’s DCC Guide For some very basic info. Then go to Brian Lambert.
