Wolseley
I have previously mentioned how I would like to see some Caledonian Railway models but has anyone ever made any RTR models of Highland Railway locomotives? Just about anything that survived into the WWII years (which would mean it should appeal to HR, LMS and, depending on the class selected, BR modellers alike) should have a market out there. I would like a Loch (either rebuilt or original) or Clan, but probably a Small Ben would be more saleable.
Wolseley
I realised later that probably the best locomotive, from a manufacturer's point of view, would be the Jones Goods. Not only could it be used on virtually any Scottish based pre-grouping or LMS layout, it could also be used on any BR layout set between 1959 and 1966 as the preserved 103. I hadn't thought of the Jones Goods when I made my original post, mainly because it is currently available as a white-metal kit. And, come to think of it, you could also attack a 4mm Jones Goods with a hacksaw and turn it into a Loch.....
