Pro chassis

Hi Joey - The Scalextric Pro Chassis Ready (PCR) designation is for cars that can use an underpan chassis designed for Scalextric by Slot.it - the Italian performance slot car company. The chassis is then built up with Slot.it (or equivalent) components. Essentially all parts, except the body shell, are upgraded exactly how you want them for your racing needs. It can be an expensive process, but does produce a very high performance Scalextric car.

A handful of chassis were produced and sold by Scalextric, but the production has now been moved to the Slot.it 3D Print Shop, where there are chassis available for almost all the current Scalextric cars. There are up to four different chassis for each car, with a Digital Plug Ready (DPR) option and a non-digital version, and a chassis type designed for use with the Slot.it LMP guide as well as one with the standard Slot.it guide. A combination of those options gives you the four varieties.

There are basic details here: https://www.scalextric.com/uk-en/shop/themes/pro-chassis-ready.html

And a little more - including an example of a Ford Sierra conversion - at Pendle Slot Racing, a Scalextric stockist in the UK: https://www.pendleslotracing.co.uk/blog/scalextric-pcr-chassis-build-ford-sierra/

The Slot.it 3D Print Shop is here: https://www.shapeways.com/shops/SlotIt?section=Scalextric&s=0

I hope that helps.
