KrazyKris
HiAnyone know how to convert the old , original, Gordon tender to DCC. Having removed the cover I can only see one , red, wire conencted to the train connector pin, but no other wires , so how to wire the decoder in ? /media/tinymce_upload/3a5f63cc0a13733498a3fb380e96d1b8.jpg
Rog RJ
The red wire is one connection, the other connection is via the chassis. This type of motor is a ringfield motor. There is an excellent description of the conversion of the ringfield motor here http://www.brian-lambert.co.uk/DCC.html#The

Fishmanoz
Don’t forget you will need to isolate the left brush connection from the chassis as per Brian Lambert.
