koo9
I want to fit a DCC decoder but I can only find reference to similar loco's without lights. The motor is straight forward but the lights switch on according to the direction of running. Has anyone done this and got them working properly? The son of Triangman
The first two function wires Function 0 and 1 will control the lights. Yellow is listed as rear light and white front. Blue is the common wire for both lights. I would recommend you do a stall current test first and a test to see what current the bulbs are drawing. as the decoder max current draw for the standard decoder is 500ma including functions. You just simply wire the bulb on the motor end to the white wire and Blue common and the other end to the Yellow wire and Blue common, you won't need the diodes that come with the bulbs for direction lighting as the decoder provides this. koo9
Thank you, I have a sapphire ready to fit inside. I have one to convert and one to completely rebuild, this will keep me busy for a while!
