martin_moore
I have converted my hornby tender drive flying scotsman to dcc using a wired in 8 pin socket and a hattons dcr-8pin-01 decoder this works perfectly. When fitting a tts sound decoder R8106 nothing happens, when programming the tender drive cogs move slightly then nothing. My control system is gaugemaster prodigy advance 2 this is the second decoder i have tried with same responce
jane1707819582
i would suggest you are overloading the tts decoder it has a capacity of 500 ma the hattons is 1100 ma peak 1600 ma perhaps your tender motor needs a good service / clean up ?
