zanderman102
my locomotives run very well on dc but when they run on DCC they run much slower and there semes to be no change in loco speed from turing the speed up on my gaugemaster DCC controller controller about halfway onwards.I use te standard r8249 decoder
2e0dtoeric
You can change the speed settings on SOME decoders, but DCC is usually set to run at a scale(ish) speed, not like F1 racing cars!If you read the instructions for your Gaugemaster controller, and those for the decoders, you should be able to see which CV to change, and what to. 2e0dtoeric
Isn't that what I put? 😛
Rog RJ
Adjusting the back emf cutout using CV 10 may give more speed. CV 10 is normally set at 128 but using a lower value may help. 128 is the maximum value. See the R8249 decoder leaflet.
