des480
When I had my old Duplo layout over50 years ago I used to pair points linking between tracks to ensure that they were both either straight on or allowing to change track. Can I do the same with a Hornby r8247 linking two points to change together by simply wiring them to the same port.

81F
I would say it depends on how much current the motors draws or how strong the motor is or if the point is particularly stiff. Currently I have four pairs of motors wired together, Two cross-overs as you describe and two single slips mostly powered by PECO motors. 3 of them worked perfectly but the fourth only switched one. I've just replaced the unreliable motor but have yet to nail it in position but a temporary lashup seems to look prommising
Fishmanoz
About the only motor I remember from many years on here which won’t work in pairs reliably is Seep.
