Bulleidboy
If your prog track is a yard of flexi, just transfer the feed wires from the prog socket n the controller, to the track connections, to test the results! That will be very easy to do Eric. Programming track is fixed right in front of my Elite, so a quick change-over of the wires would take a few seconds. Bulleidboy
All done - thank you. Having read everyones answers, found the decoder Manual, looked at the Elite Manual ( that didn't help!) - I watched a Hornby YouTube viedo on changing CV's. I made a short "crib sheet" while watching, and it's now all done. I reduced the "overall" volume to 40, as Chris said he'd done - and this is an acceptable level. Bulleidboy
I also adjusted my Class 205 which has a LokSound 4 decoder - I think this CV setting might need to be a little higher than 40. Were all the original Hornby Sound locos (not TTS) fitted with LokSound v.4? I have both City of Sheffield and Schools - St Pauls.
Chrissaf
Were all the original Hornby Sound locos (not TTS) fitted with LokSound V.4?.Depends......My Hornby 08 shunter has a Hornby factory fitted Loksound V3.5. Loksound V3.0 documentation is also downloadable on the Hornby website, so that infers some early Hornby sound locos might have had V3 decoders fitted.
