I think the thing I'd love to see the most from Hornby is a Class 86 upto the usual modern standards of their recently released Class 87. Even though Hornby have done a beautiful Class 87, I somehow have my doubts that they'll take the opportunity and make a Class 86.

 

However Hornby seems to not like the D&E era that much and it's quite noticeable from their annual ranges. Very few items are actually ones that are highly requested. Hornby has totally ignored D&E models that would actually sell like for eg: BR Blue Class 31, DB Schenker Class 60, EWS Class 60, the various Triple Grey Sector Class 60s and so on.
