Hi all,

I have recently purchased a MK1 Escort and a MK1 Cortina - both DPR cars so I can easily convert them to digital.

I would like to add to these with other cars of that era but not sure what is/was available.

I have seen an MGB advertised but thats it.

Can anyone advise me ?

In terms of DPR Scalextric saloon cars of that era, there are some nice liveries for the Escort and Cortina, plus the Minis Coopers too (although I’m not sure the Minis are DPR). There were Camaros and Mustangs that raced in British saloon car events at the time, so take a look at the Scalextric muscle cars and also the Pioneer brand, whose slightly earlier muscle cars are DPR. Looking further afield, but the same era and still saloon cars, there‘s the lovely Aussie Ford Falcon XYs and a couple of VW Beetles. Same era, but more sporty are the E-type Jag, MGB, Aston Martin DB5, Ferrari 250 GTO, Corvette L88 and the prototype Ford GT40, MkII, MkIV, Ferrari 330 P3/4, Chaparral 2F and probably a few I’ve missed. Not all are DPR and some have the slim-can FF motor. Searching the Pendle Slot site is not a bad way of finding some of the older cars from that list. Or just google them.

Hope that’s what you were looking for.

Thanks Woodcote,

I was hoping more along the lines of UK road cars of the time which were used for racing - so more Ford (UK), BL, Vauxhall etc. rather than American cars.

More like cars my dad told me about  😆 (believe that and you will believe anything)

Not looking too hopeful but I will have a look at Pendle site.

Thanks again
