naugytrax Posted June 20, 2011 Share Posted June 20, 2011 The KGV bell may do nicely, but of course you would have to build a supporting bracket to fit on the front of the streamlined nose. The GWR were able to stick their bell on the level footplate above the buffer beam, an option not available to the LNER.I wonder what period you are modelling? I believe that Hornby's models of Dominion of Canada represent the loco after she had been fitted with a double chimney in 1957. When that was done there was no room for the bell so it was taken off. The loco is now in a Canadian museum, nicely painted but non-operational. She certainly doesn't have a bell nowadays!Good luck with your project, in any case.
