Souty Train Guy Posted April 7, 2020 Share Posted April 7, 2020 Maybe some of these issues are down to the decoders being physically different...I bought 5 at once...3 of them had manufacturer number 134 (LaisDCC) and the rest number 126...They worked differently with the NCE powercab - they looked the same but they were certainly different decoders. 96RAF Posted April 7, 2020 Share Posted April 7, 2020 Hornby confirm they have tested several Liaisdcc decoder variants and that the general hardware components appear common across the range but obviously with different pinout connections. I agree with Colin this time about the dodgy track signal. Sometime fitting snubbers to the track can damp the signal and allow programming. Worth a try. It may also be worth getting your Select upgraded to v1.6 to allow direct programming of CVs. You may get this done free if you have recently upgraded to v1.5. Talk to HCC about it.
