Best put in the "WISHLIST" sub-forum?

On a more positive note, I like the idea and wish Hornby did that too. Hornby could use their 4wDM/4wDH Sentinel Shunters and a few wagons as a good starting point. It will also keep costs down whilst still offering people a good model in the process.

Even if they use a few RailRoad locomotives, it will actually be a good starting point. The Class 31, Class 37, Class 47, Class 59, Class 66, Class 86, Class 90 and Class 92 are certainly some good locos to start with. They can be used with Hornby's own budget versions of their Mk.1, Mk2E and Mk3 coaches. All these are DCC ready, have 5-pole motors and so on. So it really is a nice way to start. One can have InterCity, Regional Railways RES, Anglia, Greater Anglia, FGW, GWR, Caledonian Sleeper themed sets. The Hornby RailRoad range also has a basic flat container wagon. Freightliner and GBRf services can be replicated with these.

Hope someone at Hornby is reading? The GWR HST set due for release this year is a stunning example, hope other sets follow.
