What is the best way to find out the value of the cars I have and good prices for addition cars I want to buy, mostly vintage Scalextric are what interests me. One way to find out prices to research how much specific cars are priced by dealers online, at Scalextric Swapmeets and on auction sites like eBay. I usually Google the model’s reference number and see what comes up. There are some great sites that catalogue old Scalextric products and give interesting info. I particularly like slotcarportal.com and the Scalextric Collector Guide. There is also the wonderful ‘Scalextric - the Ultimate Guide’ a comprehensive book now in its eighth edition. Another, more collaborative, way is to contact the National Scalextric Collectors Club (NSCC). If the vintage cars are what interests you, joining the NSCC might be a very helpful and enjoyable part of you new hobby. I hope that helps.
