ColinB
I know this is not Hornby, but there are a lot of knowledgable people on this site and I might use the Hornby A4 sound decoder. I have a lot of Bachman A4 locos with the split chassis, that I want to convert to DCC. The conversion is no issue, it is the plastic joints that you screw into with a selt tapper to keep the two halves together, that is. With age they break when putting the model back together. Does anyone know if there is anywhere I can get them? If not I was going to use nylon bolts screwing into square nuts, but I suspect it would be easier if I had the right part. Has anyone a better way to do it.
Fishmanoz
Colin, Margate-Richmond is the definitive source of info for this one. Hopefully he will be along soon.

ColinB
Hello Sir John, Thank you for the advice. I emailed Bachmann and they replied within a couple of hours, with a price and how to get them. That is what I call a good service, a certain other firm usually takes over a week.Thanks.
