Sounds like you might have racing curve cross-over tracks (https://www.scalextric.com/uk-en/shop/track/extension-packs/scalextric-track-extension-pack-1.html) in your layout? If so, you need to have them in pairs, otherwise both tracks will run on one controller. Have a check to see if that’s the case. If that’s not it, let us know. Hope that helps.
