frosty
I'm trying to convert the latest Caley single eg the DCC ready one to DCC. I've just purchased a small 8 pin non harnessed decoder thinking it might fit but like every other decoder I've tried it doesn't. Short of hacking bits of the model has anyone managed to find a small enough decoder to enable this alleged DCC ready loco to DCC. Is there a 8 pin to 6 pin conversion to enable an N gauge one? The son of Triangman
The Hornby R.8249 is pretty small in size and should fit.
koo9
I have one of the old models ready to chip. The R8249 will go inside just.. I can't the body to close completely though. I may convert the tender later. If your model is DCC ready then I suggest it will fit you need to think about it.
Fishmanoz
Agree with koo9 - should fit. But if you really want small ones, this link list decoders that are suitable for N guage so are really tinyhttp://www.dccconcepts.com/index_files/DCCdecoderpage.htm
