Chrissaf
Hi,Ok, so I have an Elink and Railmaster. When I reprogram Bachmann sound decoders (loksound?) the headlights/tailights just will not work. When the locos are set to 003 the headlights/taillights work just fine. As soon as I reprogram the address the headlights stop working.Very frustrating. How do I solve this problem please? Many thanks,David
Fishmanoz
Chris has been uncharacteristically cryptic with his reply. The reason he is asking is that lights only work if 128 speed steps are set in CV29 And they have a value of 2. What you can do to see if this is the problem is to read the value of CV29 when ID is 03 then read it again after you change the ID. If It is 2 less after the change, then this is your problem. Unless of course you change to a long Loco ID and then it is more complicated. Look up CV29 Calculator at 2mm.org.uk and all will be revealed. Chrissaf
I was being cryptic precisely because of the impact of using long addresses on the CV29 value.http://www.2mm.org.uk/articles/cv29%20calculator.htm
