Peter E Posted March 6, 2020 Share Posted March 6, 2020 Hi,I recently bought a second hand C2919 Morris Mini which looks great after a clean up. However, on running it was making a terrible clicking sound. I opened the car up and it appears that the contrate gear has split. This looks to be a 20t gear but I was not sure what type of replace it with. I have taken apart the axle and removed the gear OK so I should just be able to slide on a new one. The one for your Mini is here: https://www.scalextric.com/uk-en/catalogsearch/result/?q=C2919#product_tabs_servicesheets_contents The direct replacement for the rear axle assembly is W9861. I don't see any available online. All the other axles on that sheet will fit your car, but the wheels might not be the correct style. Maybe you could search for those? I am pretty sure the gear is smaller than the standard Scalextric inline gear, so you won't be able to replace the split gear with a new Scalextric one. I hope that helps.
