HarpyChris
I've got a lovely Hornby HST that 'fell off' the edge my layout and on to a concrete floor. I thought that I would find the loco smashed to bits. Instead, the top shell has come off (in one bit!) and one of the driver's doors...all very fixable. However, the most worrying thing is there is a "drive shaft" (I'm not technical so forgive me if I got that wrong) that has popped out of its mounting and I'm not sure how to get it fixed? Any suggestions - where to send - if I can...?I can send a picture if that will help...?The mechanics are beyond me and I would rather not try to do the repair myself. Thanks, in advance, to anyone who can help.Chris
96RAF
The service sheet (HSS420) shows you how it all fits together. It will be a fiddly job but if it popped out on impact then it should in theory pop back in. The hard bit is usually getting the body off, which you have already done albeit in an unconventional manner.
