Princess Fiona
I am relatively new to the world of model railway have just purchased some cricket team accessories to set up a game on my 'village green'. Iit won't be to scale as not a large enough area but I still think it will look ok and add character. I'm looking for advice on setting it up, mainly on how to get the players to stand up
Chrissaf
Dab of PVA glue ... it dries clear but the bond can easily be broken and the PVA cleaned off (softened) with warm water..TIP: As a newbie poster on the forum, just be aware that the 'Blue Button with the White Arrow' is not a 'Reply to this post' button. morairamike
I set up a scale football pitch with teams in N scale at a club I belonged to. I used a minimum size pitch and it looked good. It did take up a fair amount of space. It might work if space is tight if you put it near an edge and modelled say just over half and used a back scene for the other bit. Just a thought. 96RAF
As suggested put it at an edge, but ise a mirror to double the apparent pitch size.
jane1707819582
Tacky wax is ideal for positioning players/people .
37lover
Tacky wax is what I use [made by Deluxe Materials]. I bought mine a long time ago £3.99 for 28g pot - but it goes a long way.
Buz
Hi Princess FionaPVA glue will hold the figures in place. The use of a mirror to visually expand the viewable area is not as daft as it sounds it is actually quite an old trick. The mirror must be hidden so it is not apparent that it is a mirror or that it is there. The viewer must not be able to look directly into the mirror and see their own reflection thus destroying the illusion.regards John
Princess Fiona
Many thanks for the suggestions; I've ordered some Tacky Wax. I like the mirror idea but not sure how to do it. My playing area is in the middle of my area. And how do you hide it so not apparent etc?
jane1707819582
Then don't bother with the mirror .use artistic liberty .post an image when complete .
