AlanPW
Hello all I'm hoping someone can help. A while ago I bought an unboxed Intercity 125, Class 43 powered and dummy units (R069).I knew it wasn't working when I bought it and I've stripped down the power bogie to give it a good clean etc. There were 2 brass collars around the axels but I seem to have lost one of them and I can't see any reference to them on the service sheet. Does anyone know the part number and what purpose they serve? Many thanks
Going Spare
These are probably axle bearings - tubes - that sit in the main motor housing with the flange in the recess cut in to the surface of that casting, with the axles passing through them. The part number is S2374.

Going Spare
Sourcing one may be difficult. Beware when ordering: the version made later in China for 5-pole motors is thinner as the axle diameter is smaller and the bearing will not accept the UK-made axles on your unit.
