Xsaraman
Just received a Train-Tech GM781 Station Steam Sound Module. In the instuctions it states you can select sound files via Accessories (ACC), and then putting in various addresses. With a Hornby Select how do you do this - or do I need to programme the module first.
jane1707819582
My understanding is the sounds are already addressed using addresses 81-88 .so selecting this address on your select should activate the sound channel
St1ngr4y
However, if addresses 81-88 conflict with any of your existing accessory decoders, then the address for each individual sound can be changed to another new unique address. Ray
Chrissaf
In order to advise on the exact button pressing sequence you need to input on your Select to play these sounds, we need to know what firmware version your Select has, as the differnet versions may change what buttons need pressing..The Select firmware will display as the very first number to briefly appear on the LCD screen when the Select is powered up. Expect to see a number between 10 & 20.Tell us this number and we can tell you what buttons to press if you haven't already worked it out for yourself. As others have said, the sounds are already pre-programmed in to DCC Addresses 81 to 88 so the unit is basically 'ready to go' out of the box without further programming (assuming that you haven't already previously assigned these addresses to something else)..TIP: As a poster with a very low post count on the forum (your first post was in 2018), just be aware that the 'Blue Button with the White Arrow' is not a 'Reply to this post' button. If you want to reply to any of the posts, scroll down and write your reply in the reply text box at the bottom of the page and click the Green 'Reply' button..See also – further TIPs on how to get the best user experience from this forum.https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/forum/tips-on-using-the-forum/.
