Railway man 123
Is the Hornby oo guage track compatible with Bachmann branch-line track?
Souty Train Guy
Tip: If you are ever unsure about what track is compatible, check the code of the track...ie.[smaller gauges]Code 75 - Finescale OO Gauge TrackCode 100 - Standard OO Gauge Track (Typically hornby, bachmann, some peco)[larger gauges]etc... DBfan
Bachmann Branchline track had Hornby numbers on it at one stage. Also the last three numbers of the stock codes are mostly the same as Hornby`s.
Going Spare
Whilst geometry is the same, in detail there are differences. I believe that Bachmann track mirrors Hornby track when it was made in Austria (by Roco?) and point flangeway tolerances are therefore greater than in current Hornby points.
