St1ngr4y
I have just recently bought an Elite and Railmaster on a CD. I have successfully installed Railmaster on a Windows XP system, activated it, and successfully upgraded it to v1.3. However, when I go into the Track Plan Designer, according to Windows Task Manager, Railmaster suddenly starts using 51% of the cpu, even before a track plan has been loaded!! It takes ages to load a plan and manipulation of the elements is very slow. Am I the only one to experience this? Is there a cure?
stevecamden
I haven't experienced this problem. My laptop is about 8 years old running XP ( in no way top of the range) but is dedicated to Railmaster. No other programs are running ( including any anti-virus software)
St1ngr4y
I have since installed Railmaster on my newest pc which runs Windows 7, only in evaluation mode, as the software is still activated on the other pc. It installed as v1.20 from the cd, and everything was fine in the Track Plan Designer i.e. no excessive cpu usage. Then it asked me if I would like to upgrade to v1.3, so I downloaded and installed this. From then on, the cpu usage goes up to 50% when in Track Plan Designer (not when in Railmaster itself). Steve, are you running v1.3 ?
