geejbee Posted June 16, 2020 Share Posted June 16, 2020 Good evening.I posted sometime ago about my inability to get my new Tornado to accept an address and am awaiting Hornby to become operational again so that I can get my Select updated as advised.However while just experimenting today, I put the Tornado on the track, and while the select was at default (03), away went the Tornado. So at least I know now that it goes. I did try setting a new address but without success. Now this probably sounds obvious to you people who know what you are doing but I thought I would share it anyway. I thought I'd better check that it is ok to use the loco at the default address until such times I can get the select seen to. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
STG Posted June 17, 2020 Share Posted June 17, 2020 You can use a loco on any address which the decoder accepts. You can use locomotives on 3, but since it is the default make sure that another new locomotive/decoder is not on the layout at the same time, else both will move when address 3 is used.
