Airfix mag Feb 63 and March 74 - stalwart plans

Hi, Wondering if anyone has a copy of the Airfix magazine for February 1963, or  March 1974.
Both have pictures of Alvis Stalwarts on the front.
The Feb 63 one has an article on how to build an Alvis Stalwart using plastic card. I'm presuming that the 1974 edition has something similar.
I'm admin of the Stalwart group on Facebook, and some members have asked about plans to make models.
Would greatly apreciate it if anyone has a copy and could scan the relevant pages as a PDF for me.

Many thanks

Hello Mark

I do not have the February 1963 issue.

The March 1974 issue has only the photograph on the front page but it does refer to an article in the November 1973 issue on how to build the Alvis Stalwart in 1:76 scale.

I am quite willing to scan this article (3 pages) but I wonder whether the forum rules do allow uploading such items ?

Here they are !

For those who might be a little daunted by scratch building, it's worth noting that there are a number of Stalwart kits available, some are current, others might be a bit difficult to track down. The large scale kits are in resin and therefore you'll be required to push the boat out if you want one.

1/76 S & M Models, Mk 1 & 2 kits

1/72 Ace, Mk 1 & 2 kits

1/35 Accurate Armour, Mk 1, 2, RA Limber, REME & UBRE. Resin kits

1/32 Airfix, polypropylene ready-made, plenty of them on ebay

1/24 Kit Form Services, Mk 2, plus conversion set for the limber Atlas crane. Resin kits.

Many thanks for your responses, everyone. Sorry for the delay in getting back, but I didn't receive any notification. The Alvis Stalwart group on Facebook is at https://www.facebook.com/groups/Alvis.HMLC.6.x.6.Stalwart/

Would it be possible to have the scans as a Searchable PDF document, Gilbert? This would allow the original size of the image to be retained - Facebook shrinks images, making it hard to read text. The RAF had two stalwarts for a while for Reef rescue at RAF Gan, in the Maldives . S & M models make the Gan Reef rescue and the limber

Seems my last post didn't get approved.Would it be possible to have those pages as a PDF, please, Gilbert H

Hi Mark,

I don't know how I could transmit the file as PDF, except to an email address…

I suggest you act as follows :

With the mouse, right click on the image you wish to copy. This will allow you to save it on your PC, as JPG, or to paste it directly into a Word file.

Hello Mark,

I am not on facebook, though my wife is.

I will scan the article as PDF and I will ask her to send it to the account you mentioned. However, as she isn't at home for the moment (keeping up social contacts…), this will most probably be for tomorrow !

You could use a file sharing site, Dropbox is one of the best known, but there are others.

As you say, right click and save to a drive is sraightforward.

Paul hi, thanks for the response. Unfortuately, I've been solid at work since end of June - and don't get notifications from this group for some reason. The file has now been deleted, and I wonder if I could trouble you to do it again?

Many thanks and sorry for the trouble

Hi. I didn't see if you managed to get a copy, but if you go to Facebook and search for "old modelling magazines", I've posted dozens of old Airfix magazines; i can't recall off hand if I've posted either but you may get lucky! And I seem to recall posting a plan from Military Modelling.
