Joshua Curtis
Hello there !I wonder if anyone has experienced an issue whereby Hornby class 66's slow down to a crawl when running through 3rd and 2nd radius curves, even with only a very short train (3x freightliner flats) . The thing I consider strange is that there's no wheel slip, which might be symptom of flange bite, I tried adding some weight but to no avail. The locos, I have 2, are both TTS fitted and are both similarly affected.any advice gratefully received !Josh

GWR 14xx Tank
Are the corners on a slight hill? Locomotives do slow down on curves ever so slightly, and a raised baseboard / uneven surface will cause them to slow down even more. 14xx Tank
Rog RJ
Could be loose fishplates causing high resistance to current flow, Ive had this problem myself.
Going Spare
Is the TTS equipment or the wiring feeding it preventing one or both bogies rotating freely causing the wheels on the outer side of gthe bend to grip the inside of the rail tighter than would normally be the case? Going Spare
There is, as yet unresolved, discussion on another forum relating to TTS-fitted class 47 locos derailing on curves when the motor bogie is the rear bogie. Apparently no problems experienced when the motor bogie is leading or when running light-engine. Is your experience the same, albeit with a different class of loco?
